We provide notarization of documents for use in Canada and around the world. There are no geographical restrictions. Some countries require authentication of the Notary’s signature by either the province which appointed the Notary or Foreign Affairs Canada and may require authentication of the document by officials of their own country. Please check with the country where the document is to be used.
Canada Notaries cannot do apostille of documents as Canada is not a party to the Hague Convention on Apostille.
Documents notarized for use in the United States usually do not require authentication of the Notary’s signature. There are several counties in California which require authentication by the US Consulate, Government of Alberta or the approval of a Canadian judge.
COMMISSIONER FOR OATHS
Commissioner for oaths may commission documents for use in the province which appoints them. They are not allowed to notarize documents for use outside their jurisdiction.
